Blood Tests

At The Surrey Park Clinic we have a wide list of blood tests available. Results are available within 48hrs.

You may wish to have a blood test for various reasons as follows:

• Reassurance blood tests

Many people wish to have reassurance blood tests in confidence which may include standard tests such as:

• blood count
• iron levels
• thyroid
• liver function
• hormone tests (men and women)
• kidney
• diabetes checks
• cholesterol levels




• Tests not always available on the NHS

Other tests are often requested which are not always available easily on the NHS such as trace elements (selenium, chromium, zinc, arsenic, lead and vitamin levels).




• Tests for infectious diseases

Other people wish checks for infectious diseases or possible sexually transmitted tests away from their usual surgery and without a consultation. Our staff will advise you and you may discuss any issues with the clinic nurse who takes your blood. These are most frequently requested in individuals with non-specific symptoms such as malaise or ME or couples with infertility or recurrent miscarriage. Specific tests available include:

• chlamydia
• gonorrhoea
• HIV
• hepatitis A
• hepatitis B
• hepatitis C
• HPV Screening
